Patch notes for the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app’s most recent update on iOS reference Nintendo Switch system version 5.0.0, not only potentially revealing the upcoming firmware update, but hinting that it may arrive sooner rather than later. Bluehole rolled out PUBG’s latest anti-cheat measures over the weekend, but due to compatibility issues, the developer has walked back the update. “Despite its effectiveness in blocking cheats, we have decided to roll back our latest live server update,” it said. “We will continue to resolve some compatibility issues caused by it. There will be a small patch to download. We apologize for the inconvenience.” The patch initially went live on Friday, causing a number of players’ games to crash, or fail to launch completely. A Square Enix job listing for Final Fantasy 7 reveals that the company is hiring level planners for the game “to meet fan expectations” and “increase quality”. State of Decay 2 won’t feature microtransactions. Jeff Strain, the studio head of Undead Labs, confirmed to IGN there won’t be any microtransactions in the upcoming zombie survival game. State of Decay 2 will be released on May 22 for Xbox One and Windows PC as a Play Anywhere title. Bluepoint Games’ next project is a remake, but one even greater in scope than its Shadow of the Colossus remake for PS4.
