Just over a year after Nier: Automata’s release, Square Enix has announced that the title has now shipped over 2.5 million units, both at retail and accounting for digital sales. The news came via the game’s official Twitter account, and indicates that around half a million copies have been shipped since September 2017, when the title hit the 2 million milestone. Jeff Goldblum will reprise his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm in the upcoming Jurassic World Evolution. Reported by EW, it’s not clear how much Malcolm will appear in the park building sim, although Goldblum himself said: “I’m going to be with you the whole game, as Dr. Ian Malcolm – that’s the character that I play in those Jurassic Park movies. Battlefield 1’s Incursions mode’s multiplayer servers are going offline today as EA works on “new developments”. The 5v5 competitive mode is very much geared around re-framing the gameplay in terms of eSports – something we found out at Gamescom 2017, when IGN’s UK news editor Joe took a sound thrashing. It recently moved from the closed alpha to the Community Environment on PC, and now that EA and DICE have gathered feedback and suggestions from players, the multiplayer servers will be temporarily unavailable as they develop and implement changes. Firmware update version 5.0 is now available for Nintendo Switch. As outlined on Nintendo’s official support site, the update has added Friend Suggestions, which suggests Facebook and Twitter friends to add based on the social media accounts linked to your Nintendo Account. The update, which was outed earlier today, also adds 24 new ARMS and Kirby-themed user icons, as well as the ability to filter news to just content from specific channels or unread news.
