Metal Gear Survive will hold an open beta on PS4 and Xbox One from January 18-21. No PC beta has been announced. The beta will allow players to enter a co-op mode that sees them “build, defend and fight alongside friends online.” Playing the beta earns players bonus items in the full game upon release, including a FOX HOUND name plate, a Metal Gear Rex Head accessory and a bandana accessory. Monolith Soft has provided some new details about Xenoblade Chronicles 2’s forthcoming updates and expansion pass. According to a recent post from Monolith Soft executive director Tetsuya Takahashi, the Ver. 1.1.1 update, which will drop on December 22, will include a slew of bug fixes as well as the following features: An easy mode for the Tiger! Life is Strange is coming to iOS this week. Developer DONTNOD Entertainment announced the first three episodes of its critically acclaimed game series will be available to download via the App Store tomorrow, December 14. Episodes 4 and 5 will be released sometime in Q1 2017. The port is being handled by Black Wing Foundation and comes with a few exclusive new features, including full touch screen integration and an in-game photo mode allowing you to take pictures, modify them with filters, and share them with friends. The battle against toxicity in Overwatch continues to rage on, but players can expect to see some improvements to the player report system with today’s Winter Wonderland Event patch. According to Overwatch’s latest patch notes, players that have reported someone for toxic behavior will receive an in-game notification when the report results in a ban. Players will also be notified in-game if they have been reported, and a warning may also be sent if the illicit behavior continues. Proving 2017 has at least one more surprise left in it, Ubisoft has just revealed a new special event for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands, teasing a legendary cameo in the process: The Predator. Doki Doki Literature Club developer Team Salvato is “exploring the possibility of developing an official mobile port of DDLC.” Writing on the Team Salvato blog, studio founder Dan Salvato said the potential mobile version of Doki Doki Literature Club “may have some differences from the desktop version,” adding he’d like to make “some updates and bug fixes” before bringing it to mobile. “In other words, I’m not comfortable with the game being ported to mobile as-is,” he wrote.
