A new atmospheric sci-fi thriller Downward Spiral: Horus Station developed by 3rd Eye Studios is coming to PlayStation this year. Announced on PlayStation Blog, Downward Spiral: Horus Station is said to be focused on delivering a visual story through environmental cues, rather than traditional voice-over or cinematics. Pinball FX3 is getting Jurassic World-themed pinball tables this month, Zen Studios has announced. The Jurassic World Pinball pack celebrates the 25th anniversary of the film franchise by offering three tables inspired by the events in Jurassic World and the original Jurassic Park. It launches on February 20 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. FTL: Faster Than Light developer Subset Games has announced that its next game, Into the Breach, will launch for PC on February 27. Into the Breach is a turn-based tactical roguelike where you take control of a team of three mechs, fighting giant, kaiju-like bugs. Similar to FTL, each run is relatively short, but randomized to enable lots of replayability. Into the Breach plans to come to Mac and Linux later, but there are currently no plans in motion for other platforms or consoles. The latest Xbox One update for PUBG reverts changes made to vehicle damage in the previous patch. According to the patch notes, the update is live, and it reverses a recent update reducing the damage players took when struck by a vehicle, after player feedback following the recent change. Players will now, once again, take increased damage when hit, and the team will “continue to tune and balance” it in the future. Minecraft developer Mojang announced that its tactical card game Scrolls would be shutting down on Tuesday, February 13. Released at the end of 2014, Mojang revealed they would stop development of the game way back in June of 2015. They committed to keeping the servers running until at least July of 2016, though they’ve clearly lasted much longer than that. As part of the announcement, Mojang also revealed that they are working to make the Scrolls server software public, allowing the community to host their own servers and continue playing online. It appears that Star Wars Battlefront 2 Clone Wars DLC is coming, according DICE’s Dennis Brännvall, along with player customization. The development team took questions from fans over on the game’s forum, and were asked specifically about Conquest mode, customization, and the possibility of Clone Wars content. “We’re obviously hearing the requests about a more open, free-flowing large mode like Conquest,” Brännvall replied. “Not sure if porting a mode over is the right way to go, but we’re definitely working on satisfying that request.” In response to the customization and Clone Wars questions, he simply replied with, “yes.” Continue reading…Powered by WPeMatico
