PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ desert-based second map is called Miramar, and we’ve learned some other new details about it. In a blog post on the PUBG Steam page, PUBG Corporation revealed that Miramar, is a new desert environment that has been designed in “the opposite direction” to PUBG’s original map, Erangel, replacing that map’s lush greenery with a desert terrain and densely-populated urban areas. Within the map are several new locations, including Los Leones, “the largest city in the region” filled with construction sites and abandoned commercial buildings, as well as Monte Nuevo (“the picture of a town beseiged”), Valle del Mar…

Past Cure doesn’t pretend to be what it isn’t – meaning a big-budget, AAA game. It’s being made by a startup studio of eight people, and it’s priced at $30. That it has similarities to Heavy Rain is more of a coincidence than anything else; its developers note that both they and Quantic Dream are Europe. That the main character even looks like Heavy Rain’s Ethan? Well…that’s a bit weird, I suppose. I played a few sections of Past Cure – a cinematic action-adventure game about a man who wakes up three years after being experimented on, with no memories…

Bridge Constructor, the physics-based game where you’re tasked with building bridges for cars and trucks, is being mashed up with Portal, the physics-based game where you use Portals to solve puzzles. Both games are excellent at spelling out their main gameplay hook right in the title, so it’s no surprise Bridge Constructor Portal lets you construct bridges and use portals. Bridge Constructor Portal combines “the laws of structural engineering and technology straight from Aperture Laboratories” to create a standalone game. Among the Aperture technology is GladOS, who holds you under her “demanding gaze,” according to the  press release. If you have…

Speaking to IGN in the wake of today’s Pokemon Go generation 3 and dynamic weather announcement, Niantic global product marketing lead Archit Bhargava explained that the team is always considering new features and how to prioritize them. “Trading was mentioned in the initial launch trailer of the game, so that is definitely something that we want to get to at some point,” Bhargava told IGN. “I think the priority has always been, you know, what is the feature that we can launch now that we feel will get…

It will have 138 new cards, which is significantly more than normal, because in addition to each existing class getting 12 cards each, the new class that’s being introduced, Portalcraft, will be getting a whopping 42 cards, in order to help kickstart its collection. When I initially reviewed Rocket League in on PlayStation 4 and PC in 2015, and Xbox One in 2016, I gave it an 8.0 for “Great.” Here’s what I said then: “Whether it’s online casual or ranked matches, no-pressure exhibitions, split-screen local co-op with up to four players, or an intense 36-week season mode, Rocket League is all about getting into the next throttle-pounding match as fast as possible. Unfortunately, servers are still struggling, which means your mileage may vary day-to-day when it comes to online features. But the silver lining is the mostly formidable AI can make even offline…
