At Fantasy Flight Games’ Gen Con 2018 preview on Wednesday night, the tabletop publisher announced that Star Wars’ prequel era series would be brought to life in the Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures game as well as Star Wars: Legion. While not detailing how Clone Wars would appear within Legion, two Clone Wars era ships were teased for X-Wing, including a Sith Infiltrator concept art image and what looked like a reference image for a Jedi Starfighter. Madden NFL 19 keeps its focus where it belongs: its moment-to-moment gameplay. This year’s entry comes with the promise of improved player motion, a more intimate franchise experience, and the return of two hometown heroes as the Longshot story continues with a new chapter. But does Madden ‘19 have the balance needed to stay between the uprights and keep both newcomers and long-time Madden fans happy? In short: Yes, yes it does. On Wednesday at Gen Con 2018, Fantasy Flight Games revealed the newest card game from legendary Magic: The Gathering creator Richard Garfield, KeyForge. Similar to Magic, KeyForge is a 1v1 competitive card game, but instead of using the traditional ‘Trading Card Game’ format where you build a deck out of randomized booster packs, or the ‘Living Card Game’ format where you get all of the cards outright and then buy full expansion sets later, KeyForge will use an entirely new format called a ‘Unique Deck Game’. What that means is that players will buy a premade 36-card deck that is a…

Recent developments in World of Warcraft’s pre-Battle for Azeroth in-game event, War of the Thorns, have fans divided on the story moving forward into the latest expansion. In War of the Thorns, the Alliance and Horde clash once again, this time with fan-favorite character Sylvanas leading the Horde. While the two factions have always been morally grey, Sylvanas’ most recent actions are solidly in the evil camp. She was once a High elf, though her soul was taken from her body by the death knight Arthas. After that, she led the undead faction the Forsaken. Now she is in charge of…

Batman and Robin may have the single most iconic partnership in the superhero world, but their relationship isn’t all sunshine and roses. Take the new trailer for the live-action Titans series, for example. When Robin isn’t smashing his boot of justice into evil’s neck, he’s shocking audiences everywhere by saying “F*** Batman!” That may be a particularly extreme case of Batman and Robin’s relationship turning sour, but there’s definitely a precedent here. Between his antisocial personality and his habit of letting sidekicks die on the job, Batman has had quite a few nasty breakups over the years. Here are the…

Editors Note: Salt and Sanctuary originally released on March 15, 2016 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. With the release of the Switch version, we decided to dive back into the sanctuary and update our review for Nintendo’s hybrid console.  Forget about mages and warriors—in an RPG with a name like Salt and Sanctuary, I figured it was only appropriate to save the world as a chef. It’s one of the eight starting classes, after all, and thus, clad in apron and armed with a three-foot iron pot and a handful of potatoes, I left the sanctuary of my galley to slay…
