A new Xbox One X patch for The Witcher 3 is now out and adds two new graphical modes to the game. As detailed on a recent blog post by CD Projekt RED, patch 1.60 includes a number of graphical improvements and tweaks across 4K mode and performance mode. The 4K mode locks The Witcher 3 at a 4K resolution with a stable 30 fps. Meanwhile, performance mode targets 60 fps while scaling the game’s resolution from 1080p up to 4K. Both modes support HDR, and you change between the two settings via the game’s Options menu, Display, and then the Advanced section. The…

Mitch Gitelman, who previously worked as the head of FASA Studio, has shed a bit of light on why the Xbox-exclusive MechAssault franchise didn’t continue after the first sequel, subtitled Lone Wolf. As a puzzle game, Bridge Constructor Portal comes as a breath of fresh air. Its Lemmings-like rules are simple and intuitive, but mesh together to create a lot of interesting depth and challenge. Plus, getting to revisit Aperture Laboratories in some form for one of the few times since 2011’s Portal 2 was a welcome treat. The dubious science to be done in Bridge Constructor Portal involves safely guiding a vehicle with its gas pedal permanently floored across a set of clever obstacles to an exit point using metal girders and suspension wires to – as the name suggests –…

Bungie has clarified what the new Three of Coins item does exactly. In a forum post, the developer explained it increases the chances a player will earn an Exotic engram by 50 percent after completing an activity. Bungie also said Heroic Strikes don’t work with the item. As such, the studio is currently working on a fix it hopes to release sometime in early 2018. Later this week, the developer will discuss additional aspects…
