Destiny 2’s first expansion, Curse of Osiris, has now launched, bringing with it a slew of new additions to the game – including, in one instance, a heavily-overpowered weapon that is wreaking havoc in the PvP game modes. The Prometheus Lens, an exotic trace rifle, is a highly stable weapon with great range – and it comes with a laser that can tear enemies to shreds in just a few seconds, making it by far the game’s most powerful weapon. Gamers have been vocal about the weapon on the Destiny subreddit, as laser carnage reigns over the current PvP arena….

So far, Curse of Osiris for Destiny 2 has been one of the most disappointing Destiny expansions to date. Its content includes a brief two- to three-hour campaign with a hollow story, a tiny public space with little to do, and just two new multiplayer maps (three on PlayStation). The only hope is that on Friday it will introduce Raid Lairs, which Bungie promises will feature new encounters, puzzles, loot, and locations to explore. The campaign takes you inside the new Infinite Forest area of Mercury (when you’re not completing a fetch quest on one of the existing destinations) and…

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ desert-based second map is called Miramar, and we’ve learned some other new details about it. In a blog post on the PUBG Steam page, PUBG Corporation revealed that Miramar, is a new desert environment that has been designed in “the opposite direction” to PUBG’s original map, Erangel, replacing that map’s lush greenery with a desert terrain and densely-populated urban areas. Within the map are several new locations, including Los Leones, “the largest city in the region” filled with construction sites and abandoned commercial buildings, as well as Monte Nuevo (“the picture of a town beseiged”), Valle del Mar…

Past Cure doesn’t pretend to be what it isn’t – meaning a big-budget, AAA game. It’s being made by a startup studio of eight people, and it’s priced at $30. That it has similarities to Heavy Rain is more of a coincidence than anything else; its developers note that both they and Quantic Dream are Europe. That the main character even looks like Heavy Rain’s Ethan? Well…that’s a bit weird, I suppose. I played a few sections of Past Cure – a cinematic action-adventure game about a man who wakes up three years after being experimented on, with no memories…
