The Asus ZenBook 13 is just the ticket for productivity-minded road warriors on a budget. It weighs less than three pounds, measures a little more than a half-inch thick, and boasts a quad-core processor and all-day battery life. This particular model of the ZenBook 13 has downsides: It lacks discrete graphics for gaming, it chugs during lengthy CPU-intensive tasks, and it’s saddled with a dim, non-touch-sensitive display. Still, it shines when it comes to everyday computing chores, and its battery keeps going and going.Price and specifications We reviewed the version of the ZenBook 13 (UX331UA-AS51) that’s currently about $799 on Amazon….

Beautiful, brutal and frequently bizarre, The Missing: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories is a side-scrolling puzzle platformer that has cult hero game director Hidetaka Suehiro’s (aka Swery’s) fingerprints smudged all over it. Yet amidst the schizophrenic tonal shifts and fantastical, deathtrap-strewn settings, The Missing manages to tell a surprisingly human story that builds to an emotionally powerful payoff at its conclusion. Its execution may be a little rough around the edges compared to genre champions Limbo and Inside, but it brings plenty of its own unique personality that allows it to shine despite the slight lack of polish….

BlizzCon 2018 is almost here, but a new post from Blizzard strongly suggests we won’t see any new Diablo projects announced. “We’ve seen a lot of rumors flying around about our plans for Diablo at the show,” reads a post on the Blizzard forums. “These are very exciting times—we currently have multiple teams working on different Diablo projects and we can’t wait to tell you all about them . . . when the time is right.” The post goes on to say that “good things come to those who wait, but evil things often take longer”. While Blizzard may not…

Playing through LEGO DC Super-Villains, I couldn’t help but make comparisons to 2016’s Suicide Squad film. Whereas the critically-panned movie favored style over substance, LEGO DC Super-Villains is both stylish and jam-packed full of fun action. With a surprisingly engaging plot,a huge amount of variety, and enjoyable fan service there is a ton to love in Traveller’s Tales latest LEGO game. What’s more impressive, the longtime developer of LEGO games somehow figured out a way to, for the most part, keep things fresh. Of all mediums out there, comics have always had some of the best villains ever imagined with…

A great tabletop campaign requires a special understanding between a dungeon master and their players. The players supply their creativity and enthusiasm, and in return, the DM provides a fun story, fairness, balance, and, perhaps most importantly, a well-designed adventure. Pathfinder: Kingmaker takes as mighty a swing at capturing that tabletop experience as any game I’ve played, mostly delivering on giving you the tools to fulfill the player’s side of  that deal. But when it comes to upholding the DM’s end of the bargain, it falls short. Pathfinder: Kingmaker takes the sometimes byzantine rules of its tabletop source material and…

In this episode of the Full Nerd, Gordon Mah Ung, Brad Chacos, Adam Patrick Murray , and PCWorld executive editor Melissa Riofrio discuss the key takeaways from our Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 review, and how AMD performs after Principled Technologies revised its controversial benchmarking methodologies for testing commissioned by Intel.Did we say RTX 2070 review? Sorry, reviews. Brad benched both the $600 Nvidia RTX 2070 Founders Edition and the $550 EVGA RTX 2070 XC, the latter of which ran cold as ice and earned an Editors’ Choice award. And boy, things sure are different this time around. While the RTX 2080 isn’t a slam-dunk…
