Magic: The Gathering is returning to where it all began for its 25th anniversary. MTG’s next expansion is called Dominaria, named after the location of the game’s very first set. This new set heads back to Dominaria and brings familiar faces with it in the form of returning cards and homages to some other classics. Magic: The Gathering’s upcoming Dominaria expansion will be bringing back some of its earliest cards. Twitch and Blizzard gave teamed up for an Overwatch League All-Access Pass that gives viewers exclusive Twitch content, in-game rewards, and “insider content” granting access to the Overwatch League Command Center, that includes alternate camera angles, and behind-the-scenes VODs. The pass was announced this week and is priced at $29.99 for the inaugral season, with all of the benefits lasting up until the start of 2019’s Overwatch League. Spyro the Dragon is officially returning this fall thanks to the Spyro Reiginited Trilogy collection, and IGN has your full breakdown of the first look at the game. After months of rumors, and a week of teases, Spyro the Dragon is officially back, and he’s returning in time for the purple dragon’s 20th anniversary. Activision announced today the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, developed by Skylanders devs Toys for Bob. The trilogy will include Spyro’s three original PS1 outings — Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon — with new, remastered graphics, sound, available on the PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, and Xbox One X on September 21. Rainbow Six Siege developer Ubisoft is cracking down on toxicity in the game’s multiplayer modes. A developer blog concerning toxicity management details features coming to the game to improve player behaviour. A number of short-term changes have been implemented, including a chat monitoring system. Ubisoft will track individual players’ use of racial or homophobic slurs, issuing bans based on severity, ranging from days and weeks to permanent exclusion from the game. Bungie has confirmed that weapon slot changes are on the cards for Destiny 2, and have alluded to the possibility of public test servers. In the latest Bungie Bounty Twitch stream, Bungie’s community manager, David “DeeJ” Dague was joined by design lead Josh Hamrick, and senior PvP designer Kevin Yanes to answer questions from the community and talk about plans for the game going forward. Acclaimed indie adventure, Firewatch is coming to Nintendo Switch this Spring. Announced by developer Campo Santo, the Switch port doesn’t appear to include any extra features, but there’s a very nice picture of it being played next to some hiking boots, so that’s something. There’s no more specific release date beyond ‘Spring’ at time of writing. We awarded Firewatch a 9.3 review, saying it’s “a game I can see coming back to every year or two just to revisit its beautiful sights and memorable characters – just like a good book.” Now’s our chance!
