Egyptian developer Rumbling Games Studio’s debut game, Knights of Light, is a historical action-RPG set in 7th century Iraq. Knights of Light takes place during the battles between the Sasanian Empire and Arab forces in the 600s and features a main character based on an unnamed historical figure. Several boss characters will also be based on people from the medieval era, though the developer has yet to reveal any specific names. Rumbling Games says its game design and story structure take inspiration from The Witcher series, which is evident in the developer’s decision to include a “hidden fantasy path” within…

Hazelight Studios, the development team behind A Way Out, almost signed with Microsoft instead of Electronic Arts. Curse of the Pharaohs took me by surprise. I didn’t really think twice about putting it off—usually Assassin’s Creed DLC is filler, an indulgence I save for the quieter parts of the year. It’s an excuse to jump back in for 5 or 10 hours, and in the case of Assassin’s Creed: Origins I planned to spend some extra time mopping up side content I’d skipped.I played through it recently though and quickly found out Curse of the Pharaohs is legitimately fantastic. Maybe the best Assassin’s Creed in years. The most creative, at the very least. To read this article in…

After a longer-than-expected wait, Yakuza 6: Song of Life is finally getting released outside of Japan. SEGA was good enough to send over the “After Hours Premium Edition” to unbox. Along with a copy of the PlayStation 4 game disc, the After Hours Premium Edition also includes two bar glasses engraved with Kiryu’s iconic dragon tattoo, a pair of whisky stones, coasters, and a hardcover art book. The art book includes key art from Yakuza 6 as well as a bunch of  fan creations celebrating characters from the entire series, such as Goro Majima, who is objectively the coolest and I…

The $799 entry-level model of HP’s new Pavilion gaming laptops includes Radeon RX 560X graphics, a GPU unheard of before this morning. But that’s no typo. On Wednesday, AMD announced the Radeon RX 500X series of graphics cards, which basically slap a new name on the existing Radeon RX 500-series GPUs (which themselves were pretty much a slightly faster, rebranded version of the RX 400-series).To read this article in full, please click herePowered by WPeMatico
