To celebrate the release of Monster Hunter: World, Capcom is offering £50,000 ($70,000 USD) to anyone who can provide conclusive evidence of one of 10 real-life monsters.
Partnering with Jon Downes of The Centre of Fortean Zoology, Capcom is giving hunters until June 30 to provide verifiable evidence of everything from Bigfoot to The Cornish Owlman.
You can see all 10 possible catches in the gallery below, along with Downes’ description of each one:
Downes and his team will analyse the evidence sent in, with any conclusive submissions awarded the prize (with the full amount shared if there are multiple winners).
“I’ve spent the majority of my life travelling across the globe to hunt for evidence of these creatures,” said Downes. “Although I have had some successes, I have yet to find that elusive proof and it is time for me to offer my help as I throw down the gauntlet to the next generation.”
