The beta for PS4 firmware update 5.50 began rolling out yesterday and new features include more organisation options and the ability to customise your UI, in addition to the supersampling mode for PS4 Pro revealed earlier this month.
Details of the update were posted on the PS blog, which specifies some of the features you can expect in the final fireware. Play Time Management allows parents to check and manage play time, as well as impose restrictions so games can only be played for a set amount of time or “within set playable hours.” Notifications will pop up telling them to save and quit as time runs out, but “family managers/guardians also have the option to add extra game time via their smartphone or PC,” as well as the option to log them out remotely.
